If you cruised with us this past week on the Artful Voyage with Tim Holtz, Wendy Vecchi and team ScrapMap, I don’t need to tell you how great it was. Truly, a 10 out of 10! From the incredible ship, to the wonderful food, to the fun ports of call, the “cruise” portion of the week was fabulous.

But how do you even begin to explain the wonderful classes? Incredible, Awesome, Fantastic, Exhillarating, Totally Out of the Box, they were the best.

As I posted just a couple days ago, Tim’s cruise for next year in Canada and New England is almost sold out, there are less than forty spaces to fill before the waitlist begins. If so, have we got the trip for you! Join scrapbooking celebrity Ali Edwards and yours truly on this unbelievable, once in a lifetime tour in the fall of 2011.

We’ll even offer you a three-day tour in the eternal city of Rome if you would like to extend your stay. If you are interested in going on this unbelievable trip, please contact Jaci at ScrapMap today, and we will add your name to the list to be the first to receive the information before it is publically announced to the rest of the scrapbooking community. You will be eligible to sign up and join us before anyone else!

Space is limited and based on first come-first served.

Can you even imagine how much fun this tour is going to be?!!!!

Hi everyone, we will be announcing all of the tours we have lined up in 2010, in just a week, and I am so excited about each one. As the largest travel company for scrapbookers, papercrafters and stampers, ScrapMap continues to find events all around the world that we feel will help your creative journey, and at the same time, provide a vacation of a lifetime.

Not only are we involved in travel, but we are also involved in your creative process as well, and that means, beginning next year, you will see some exciting new programs we are currently developing that will include crossing over into other craft markets like fiberarts, weaving, knitting, quilting, sewing, journaling, photography, etc., and how all of these can tie into one another with your scrapbooking endeavors.

We are also going to be taking our Scraposium Program and expanding them to more exciting events with celebrity instructors and very, very reasonable pricing. Be watching for that announcement as well.

On a side note-I talked to a friend of mine yesterday who told me her children were going back to school next week, and I thought, omg, is it that time of the year already? That means fall is coming, the holidays will be sneaking up on us, and then winter. It is one of my favorite times of the year, so I am gearing up to enjoy it all! But try to squeeze in that last bit of summer fun if you can, we don’t want to rush it!

Originally Margie Romney was going to be going to South America with us, (see previous blog entry) but now that Margie has launched a brand new company of her own and we are putting together a really exciting winter getaway cruise for her, as she LAUNCHES her company, we have invited renowed photography guru KAREN RUSSELL to step in and be our celebrity hostess on this expedition.

There are actually three fascets to South America. The first is the Amazon Jungle!! How cool to stay in a four-star lodge in the middle of the Amazon Rainforest for three nights, totally isolated from the rest of the world, and each day going out on incredible excursions. The second portion of the expedition is traveling to incredible Machu Picchu. This ancient lost city, high atop the highest mountains in South America, will be one of the most extraordinary events of your life. We will stay in a very deluxe hotel called the Inkaterra, and all the best ammenities that a five star hotel can offer, will be offered to us.

Finally, the third remarkable part about this expedition is a cruise around the Galapagos Islands. This tour is an add-on tour, and includes sailing on a five star cruise ship, and each day, visiting two different islands, one in the morning and one the afternoon.

Karen will provide for the group a one of a kind photography class in Miami for a full day, prior to the group leaving on this expedition. This class is included in the cost of the package.

Just to let you know, Karen teaches her photography class online, and there are 700+ people waiting to take this course with her. So having this full day class included is really something special.

We are only taking 20 people on this expedition, so if you have any desire to travel to one of the most unique, fascinating and without doubt extraordinary destinations in the world, be sure to sign up today!

By the way, we will be announcing Margie’s cruise in the next week, so be watching for that!

God Bless!

As an author of four books, and editor of a new magazine launching in September, I am enthusiastic to assist scrapbookers with journal entries and ways they can enhance their scrapbook pages with writing just the right thing to capture what they are feeling.

During our Ultimate Scrapbooking Cruise this past year, I taught a Journaling Class onboard the ship, and I am now going to be offering this information in a pamphlet free of charge to anyone who is booked on any of our ScrapMap cruises or tours.

If you would like to receive your free copy, please email me direct at and I will be happy to send this to you when it is completed.

Have a great Scrappy Weekend! I am just getting off a cruise ship this morning from spending a week in the Caribbean. It was great time had by all, but I always am happy to get home!

Over the years, it has always been our mission at ScrapMap to donate either our time or money to causes that we feel it will benefit those who are less fortunate than we are. I am sure all of us know someone with cancer or we have members of our own family who have or had the disease.

About seven years ago, I came up with an idea to do something for children who we diagnosed with cancer, but were treated and overcame the illness. I launched a non-profit organization called A NEW VOYAGE.

This organization provides cruises for children who have suffered a life threatening illness, and rewards them and their family with a cruise, as they begin a new voyage in their lives without the illness.

I bring this to your attention, because this is a cause I am very passionate about, and if any of you know a family or a child where this has occurred, please let us know. We would like to add their names to our list of families to be considered for a cruise.

Also, if any of you are interested in donating to this non-profit organization, you can do that as well.

I just thought I’d mention this to you incase you wanted to get involved somehow. Prayers are a good thing and just as important as a donation.

Thanks for your time and God Bless all children who may be seriously ill at this time.
